L.G. Brooks, EA
L.G. serves as the CEO and a senior consultant for U.S. Tax & Consulting Group. L.G. has been in the field of taxation for more than twenty years and has been in practice full time since 1990. His tax practice includes tax representation, tax consulting, tax preparation, and pre-tax court litigation support services. L.G. is a Fellow of NTPI.
Sherrill Gregory, MBA, MST, EA, USTCP
Sherrill, an NTPI Fellow and the current NAEA secretary-treasurer, specializes in tax controversy representation. A non-attorney admitted to practice before the U.S. Tax Court, she teaches a course assisting others taking the written admission exam offered in 2008. She has earned a BA (Business Administration/Accounting), MBA (Finance), and MS (Taxation).
Howard Levy, Esq.
Howard Levy is a partner in the Cincinnati law firm of Voorhees & Levy LLC. For over nineteen years his practice has been concentrated in tax controversies, with emphasis on collection workouts, tax litigation, and the use of bankruptcy to resolve IRS problems. Howard has a degree in finance from Ohio State, a law degree, and a Master of Laws degree in Taxation from Boston University. He is a frequent speaker to EAs and has authored numerous articles on the IRS.
Sandra A. Peterson, CPA
Sandra has more than twenty years experience in taxation. As a former IRS revenue agent she received extensive training and experience in auditing of federal income tax returns of individuals, small businesses (Sch C), corporations, and partnerships. Within the IRS, Sandra received specialized training in areas such as fraud, bars/restaurants, auto dealers, and marketing.
Since retiring from the IRS in 2005, Sandra has launched a successful CPA practice and specializes in IRS representation.
Theodore A. Sinars, JD
Theodore is a partner in the Chicago tax law firm of Madden, Jiganti, Moore, & Sinars LLP. For over thirty-five years he has concentrated in the areas of IRS civil and criminal taxation, procedure, and litigation. He received his degrees from Notre Dame (B.B.A. 1996, cum laude; J.D. 1967). Theodore is an adjunct professor of law in the Master’s Tax Program at DePaul University Graduate School of Law. He is a frequent speaker and author on tax matters.
Karen Yeager, MBA, EA
Karen is the director of tax research for Delphis Tax Solutions. She served on the board of directors for MoSEA and has been on various committees for the national organization. She is currently serving as a director on NAEA’s board. NAEA awarded her the President’s Award in 2000. She is a Fellow of NTPI.

Cathy Clow, EA
Cathy is a Fellow of NTPI and has experience as a Level II discussion leader. She serves on the board of the Best in the West Education Foundation. Her practice specializes in individual tax services and representation.
Ginger Crooks, EA, MST
Ginger has been deeply involved in enrolled agent education and in NAEA for many years. Her leadership activities include: the 2007 NTPI Planning Committee; Past NAEA Education Foundation Trustee; NTPI Task Force; and past president of the Missouri Society of Enrolled Agents. Ginger became a Fellow of NTPI in 1991.
Bert Hartmann, EA
Bert, an NTPI Fellow, became an EA in 1989 and opened his Sparks, NV office in 1991. He represents his own clients as well as clients referred by other tax professionals who do not have his collection expertise. He is a member of NVSEA, chairs the board of the Best in the West Education Foundation, and he is past president and current vice president of the Northern Chapter of NVSEA.
R. Michael (Mickey) Reedy, EA, MGFA
Mickey is a Fellow of NTPI and has been deeply involved in EA education and in NAEA for many years. His leadership activities include: Level II Team Coordinator for 2007 NTPI; Level II Discussion Leader, 2000–02 NTPI; Head Discussion Leader, 2003–04 NTPI; director, NAEA board of directors, 2003–07. He received NAEA’s Excellence in Education Award in 2006.
Don Rosenberg, EA
Don is an NTPI Fellow and has a private tax and accounting practice. He is also a tax controversy specialist with Tax Help Associates representing taxpayers before the IRS and state authorities.
Cheryl Sheil, EA, GFA, MS, MBA
A Fellow of NTPI since 1996, Cheryl served as a Level II Discussion Leader for 2005–06 NTPI and was a winner of a Best of San Diego Professions Award, 2002–03.
Craig C. Smith, EA, USTCP
Craig became an EA in 1994 and graduated from the Fellows program in 2000. He has been in practice with his wife Rosemary (also a fellow) for sixteen years and has served as a Level II Discussion Leader for the past two years.
Linda D. Smith, EA, ATA, ABA, CDFA
This year, Linda is celebrating twenty-five years as president/owner of ATI Professional Services, Inc., Orlando, FL. A Fellow of NTPI, Linda served as a Level II Discussion Leader for NTPI 2005–06. In addition, Linda is a Florida Supreme Court certified mediator.
Nadine Smith, EA
A Fellow of NTPI, Nadine served as a Level II Discussion Leader at 2005–06 NTPI and is past president of MISEA (2006). She was a member of the IRS Practitioner/Liaison Committee in 2005.
