NAEA President Frank Degen Sets the Record Straight on His Ways and Means Registration of Paid Preparer Testimony

Dear NAEA Member:

I've attached a copy of a letter (click here) that I've written to the president of the National Society of Accountants (NSA). The letter is in response to a statement attributed to me during testimony at last week's Ways and Means hearing and published in an NSA special alert. The accusation that I made that statement is utterly without merit and patently false.

The good news is, given the quality and professionalism of NAEA's staff, I do not envision ever being the recipient of any similar type of communication. Rest assured, NAEA will always take the high road in its dealings with other professional groups.
